The original ‘higher & higher’ release was the international breakthrough for milk & sugar as a dj/produceract, although it happened quite a bit by accident and with the help of a very popular american dj. because on the original miami promo in 2000, ‘higher & higher’ was only the b-side! but after the wmc the milk & sugar office received a request from david morales who asked for an exclusive compilation license and the remix rights of “higher & higher’ for his cd. thanks to this support – and of course other great remixes by bini & martini and tom novy – milk & sugar gained huge attention and hit high in a lot of international charts. even after nearly eight years this song did not lose any of its magic and is due to be released in march with new mixes from milk & sugar, chocolate puma and montilla. nevertheless this release is also a tribute to its brilliant vocalist who passed away in 2005, the soul diva sabrynaah pope. her performance on ‘higher & higher’ was one of the secrets of the success of this song and will ever be.
