With a string of releases for highly respected labels like 2020 vision, trapez, infant and morris-audio, northern england‘s latest young knight-of-the-night burnski turns out four super tracks for his debut on dessous! each energetic cut has a distinctly different theme and flavour, however they complement each other so well, amounting to a superbly tuned helping of straight up house music. fit for the night and hopeful for action, ‚fertile‘ lock us in with classic deep house chord stabs set against a gritty and infectious rhythm track. as is always the case with dessous releases, the real beauty is in the lovingly treated warmth and detail that can be heard throughout this great ‚end of the night‘ -or ‚beginning of the next day‘- grower. in contrast, ‚new road f.m‘ is a jumpy chicago-style stripped track. warm phasing synths are at the top of the ingredients bag, to be liberally followed by jacked up, sprightly percussion and burnski‘s extra-secret sprinkling of funk. ‚nose bunker‘ is the most peak time orientated cut of the e.p, fusing solid state drums with a maximised wink-esque acid line. complete with dubbed out drum fills and screaming synth fx, this is a devastating party track with a sinister monster break. you have been warned! |
