One of the uk´s finest underground club nights development launches its record label: development music. the manchester based party has welcomed luminary djs such as kenny dope, danny krivit, dj spinna, kerri chandler, osunlade, phil asher, domu, larry heard, frankie feliciano, ron trent, dixon, quentin harris and joe claussell. developments music policy has always comprised underground dance music of all genres and ages, with a soundtrack of deep house, techno, disco, hip hop, soul and broken beat.
the label launches with a barnstorming double a-side release from multi talented manchester based producer zed bias, featuring the stunning vocal talents of jenna g. perhaps best known for his bass driven music of the late 90s, more recently zeds production output has taken a more house based/broken style but still with a noticeable nod to garage/drum n bass textures and bass lines.
side a showcases ´sound of love´, a peak time house cut with a throbbing electronic bassline over trademark restless soul drums from co-conspirator phil asher, smooth rhodes and killer swirling vocals from jenna g and drs (broke n´ english). on the flip, zed unleashes an absolute bomb - ´let me change your mind´ is a real gem which should cause total chaos on any self respecting dance floor. with killer bass and horn hooks aplenty, the track builds with intensity until you´re hit by spine tingling aretha franklin-esque vocals from jenna g.
