rss feed

RSS is a family of web feed formats specified in XML (a generic specification for data formats) and used for Web syndication. RSS delivers its information as an XML file called an "RSS feed", "webfeed", "RSS stream", or "RSS channel". These RSS feeds provide a way for users to passively receive newly released content (such as text, web pages, sound files, or other media); this might be the full content itself or just a link to it, possibly with a summary or other metadata (data describing the content).

In the typical use scenario, a content provider publishes a feed link on their site which end-users can add to an aggregator program running on their machine.

As a nuloop user, you know we add loads of records daily. Those informations added every day can be compared to news on a content website. For that reason we naturally decided to propose our own rss feeds for each vinyl records universe. Those feeds are set up for our customers and for webmasters who wants to add dynamic content to their website.

To read those feeds, you have several possibilities :

1 - Softwares
Sereral software can read RSS feeds, Mozilla Firefox (nativally, or using the extention infoRSS or Sage), Opera - since version 7.5 and Safari since version 2.0.
You'll also find a feed reader inside the email software Mozilla Thunderbird.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 also includes a news reader. Windows Vista, Microsoft's next operating system will nativally manage RSS feeds, and will push its users to use them.

2 - The websites
Many websites will allow you to register and read our feeds from their pages. Here's a small selection :

Electro Techno
House
Disco Funk
Drum'n'bass Reggae
Pop Rock
Hip hop
